Everyone Goes Home Today
Ever meet someone who impacts your life in a postive way? I was fortunate enough to have a dedicated OSHA Construction trainer. Jay started every day with his mantra above. He truly lives it in the company he represents as their safety officer.
After many years of doing many things wrong in the field – I used to validate my practices with such wisdom as “this is the way we always did it” or “who can afford this stuff?”. Hasn’t caused me any harm. Casinos thrive on this way of thinking.
OSHA is very clear about your role as an employer (supervisors – this means you as well!). Here is what the law states:
Section 5(a)(1) of the OSH Act states:”Every employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees”.
Just because a person has a family to feed they should not have to risk their lives doing so.
Would you feel your commitment meets this overall directive? Do you have the documentation to prove compliance?
The OSHA Construction standard is built of 28 sub parts (chapters) with several Addendums. The good news is not all neccessarily apply to the typical contractor. Do you know which ones do?
We focus on the residential contractor. Why? Because thats who we are. Our vast experience comes from being contractors in the residential remodeling and new construction field. We will keep you focused and bring you through the path to compliance. Why?
- It saves lives

Give us a call when you would like to discuss where you are and where you need to be. We know how you feel – been there.
