logo_lead_safe_certified_firmStarting September 15, 2015, the EPA will no longer accept mailed firm certification applications. That means when it’s time for you to renew your company’s EPA RRP FIRM CERTIFICATION (License), it has to be done on-line. Sorry, guys. Fortunately for you, we have a link on our forms page that will take you right to the on-line application. Or, you can link directly to the application from here.

You will be able to pay by credit card, debit card, or electronic check.

Here’s some other important things to remember:

  • •  Firms must re-certify their RRP Certification (license) every five (5) years.
    •  Your firm must be re-certified by the EPA before your current certification expires.
    •  You should apply for your firm certification at least 90 days before your current certification expires.
    •  Remember, if you are in an “authorized state,” like Massachusetts, this change doesn’t affect you.

If you are unsure if your state falls under EPA guidelines or is an authorized state, check out our blog post that lists the authorized states or with your local regulators for guidance.
