This is a one-day, 8 hour course for property owners who would like to become authorized to perform moderate-risk Deleading. This course is designed to give owners and agents an understanding of the Lead Law and its requirements. This course was developed by the Massachusetts Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP).
This course does not allow contractors to perform Deleading work professionally. Contractors who wish to be able to delead properties professionally must take the 8 hour LSR-S Initial Course followed by the 4 hour Moderate Risk – Deleading Option.
This course will prepare participants to take the written exam administered by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. Once the course has been successfully completed, CLPPP will mail the student a test which is to be taken and returned by mail to CLPPP. If a passing score is achieved on the test, the student will receive an authorization package from CLPPP.
In order to attend this class, you must be 18 years old or older. We are required to have all students present a photo ID at the start of class. Please click here to see a list of acceptable identifications.
This class is taught in English. Each student participating in this class must be proficient in English to be able to comprehend the training and have the ability to complete the written test in English. Private classes can be taught specifically in Spanish or Portuguese if needed. Please contact us for a quote for your crew.
